Please Harsh.......gave me a heart attack, thought I'd missed the start and we'd spilled one!!!Damn that's a bad drop. Morris needs to deliver.
I thought the same for a brief second but actually got excited, as I thought he meant Morris had dropped one, meaning we must have already bowled them outPlease Harsh.......gave me a heart attack, thought I'd missed the start and we'd spilled one!!!
I think the concern might be Philander, we need him to function but he is apparently not 100%... but I still don`t like the decision.Weird selection to me. I've read that Faf is concerned about losing the amount of overs that Rabada puts in, but it just feels like we strengthened the wrong discipline. Morris and Philander are no.8s. Hope de Kock bats at 4/5 for this game.
donald probably the only great of that time that when you think of him bowling to athers, you think of the batsman getting the better of it.The Donald-Athers saga..can never tire of it
Yeah Morris is insurance now that you have a weaker frontline attack. I also think that part of the reason de Bruyn was selected over Morris in the first Test was the fact that his part time meds had been reaping a bit more success than usual in the A series and the tour game leading up to the Test - the figures suggested he'd been working on his bowling a bit - so when he bowled such crap in the first Test that Bavuma ended up preferred as the fourth seamer, he was always going to be vulnerable.Risky team but understandable.
Probably felt they needed the pace and batting of Morris plus Olivier is known to run in all day.
This start has been proper test cricket at a proper cricket ground. Lovely stuff.
