That shot for 3 was probably the best shot Ballance has played for England since his recall last summer.

Well Ballance would be the best Zimbabwe player by a distance, Jennings would have no chance as he is the wrong colour for South Africa despite them having crap openers and Woakes is injured so he comes back. The 2nd spinner is crap whoever we pick and Wood has never really had a proper run due to his lack of fitness.

Wood is high class with his skidders. He has just had a bad game. He was superb against Worcs the other week - first day as the rest was washed out.

Very true. I can think of some bowlers who would have loved the chance to play in 9 tests and only have a best of 3-39 who were far superior and got dumped very quickly.
