Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Whatever it takes!!!
There's plenty of footage of him screwing 11 Indian guys, even on youtube.

Venky Prasad usually the worst affected. I do not recall any international bowler who played that long being treated with that much disdain by one player irrespective of where or which conditions they were playing at.

How did this happen? Did they just not realise that the Spartans had reached the target until after another ball was bowled? Even so, why the D/L target?

Possible solution: There was a rain delay in Jaipur's 1st innings, therefore giving Gurugram a higher target to chase in the same 15 overs. The commentary suggests they were originally set 154.

Then, either the match was stopped by rain again at 11.3 overs of Gurugram's innings before they had reached the original 15-over target, and the winner was determined by D/L from that point.

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Scyld Berry has listed his top 40 players of the past 40 years he's been covering cricket. Link to top ten here.

Richards judged best of past 40 years | cricket.com.au
"Berry paid tribute to Warne for resurrecting the art of spin bowling in the 1990s from near extinction.

"Pakistan’s Abdul-Qadir had kept alive the flame of spin in general, and wrist-spin in particular, but nobody else was a role-model - until Warne delivered his first ball of the 1993 series at Old Trafford, that divinely perfect leg-break," he wrote. "He quickly became the greatest post-war spinner, perhaps of all time, his only rival Bill O’Reilly; and when his shoulder injury reduced the fizz of his legbreak, he became the greatest con-man - or magician - who ever bowled spin and took 500 more Test wickets."

Sure, sure.

Berry is just another sanctimonious old bugger. Amazing how many of the supposedly "great" writers of that era turn into something like this in the noughties.

Warne may have inspired kids from Australia and England to take up legspin, but Qadir is an inspiration to desi kids everywhere.

Also, Murali

I will say Mushy would have had an impact on English players taking up legspin around that time too, maybe to a lesser degree than Warne but surely not something to be ignored totally. And Mushy was inspired by Qadir. And Kumble was bowling his version of legspin even before Warne.
