EDIT: Our media lives on controversy. So really I am not sure why any of this is a surprise anymore. Its like two grown men are not allowed to have differing philosophies on how to run a cricket team and that it can't be handled professionally and has to be made a personal story of the arrogant captain vs the taskmaster coach., :(

Knowing how haughty and arrogant Ganguly is generally, and how much this attitude has overtaken his personality since he took over CAB, I will be extremely extremely surprised if Ravi got the job.

I hope Shastri doesn't get the job to be honest. He has no experience for the same just like Kumble didn't. We have seen before how a captain can be wrong about a person with Ganguly selecting Chappell despite his past poor track record. It would be better if we selected some one who has some proper coaching experience.

I said it before here somewhere, I feel of the guys who seem to be in the running so far, I will prefer Moody. Shastri is good as a Team Director but that means we should get good specialist coaches who can help the team out while Ravi continues the pep talks and sledging the opposition in pressers. :laugh:
