England's batting is too good. Pretty much all of them can hold a bat. To beat them, you need to score 350, but that may not be enough. Why do I get the feeling that the last match (final) will be the first match of the tournament, and that too at the same venue – wouldn't that be ironic.

Honestly does it matter who deserves what? They had the chance to go through by winning this game and, thus far, they're stuffing it.

It's not so much about 'deserving' because that's subjective based on people's preferences but more the fact that Australia only lost 1 game out of 3 and are getting knocked out. Eh, they've tended to have a knack recently of recovering from 5/100 to post 300-odd. No matter how many top order poles you get, someone in the middle order always seems to stand up and build a partnership through the middle overs at 5s.

50/3 be damned, Australia would have been confident of grabbing the W there.

To be fair the NZ game was not as clear cut as the BD game. If this tournament is anything to go by, you're not out of the game at 50/3

We can all argue about all the coulds woulds and shoulds but at the end of the day BD qualified (almost as England likely the winner now). Was Australia unlucky not to have finished the first two games? Sure. But they had a chance today and missed the opportunity. So we will take it.

There's no bad taste in the mouth for me, it's just the weather. Like I said, they had the chance here and they're not currently taking it. Too bad.

This is now the third consecutive ICC event in England where Australia have failed to make it past the group stages (WT20 2009, 2013 and 2017 CT).

Yep, Aus had their chance to go through and haven't taken it. They can feel slightly hard done by but end of the day they had us on the ropes and could only bowl Cummins, Zampa and Henriques who weren't up to the task.

Also 5/37 in last ten, you can **** off thinking you deserve anything.

Aussies were possibly going to get close v NZ but would probably have failed given the batting is clueless in England and they would have beaten Bangladesh. If we had to we would have upped the rate to try and knock them out today so we will never really know. All be ifs buts and maybes.
