South Australia have an interest in recruiting Ben Dunk.
Harry Evans, leading run scorer in the Cricket Tasmania Premier League to be offered a contract with Tasmania for the upcoming season.

They're better off sticking with Harper IMO. They have Gotch too.
They are going to want another keeper on the list somewhere. Be interesting to see what happens with Aaron Ayre, using Gotch as a keeper in front of him indicates that they don't really have that much faith in him.

I think Victoria would like Ludeman to return to Victoria without a contract, so they are be able to call him up - not sure how confident they are in Harper after the head knock.

Why don't Victoria look at Jimmy Peirson? WA's first choice keeper is unclear out of Whiteman and Inglis as well.
And why you're not interested in Paine (despite being a near certainty to sign) I'm confused by.

I don't think he was going to get a Victorian contract - he was offered a very good job with Kookaburra if he had've missed out on a Tassie contract. That's what he would have been moving to Victoria for.

Hartley is retiring FTR. So Peirson should be first choice for next season.

It'll be Whiteman for WA, which sucks for Inglis because he really acquitted himself nicely last season.

Hehe.

CA certainly not quashing the idea that money from junior registrations are part of what the players are considering CA revenue...

Go back to shuffling spreadsheets for NZ John.

By ditching the two most well attended tests you'd basically kill test cricket in this country. It's not like anyone turns up to early season ODIs, at all, because a crap time is a crap time.

It's a shame because the stuff about limiting admin costs actually makes a little bit of sense.

FMD, just about the only untouchable things in Oz cricket are those dates

John, April 1 was two months ago.

The Age said:
However, former Australian batsman and Victorian great Dean Jones slapped down the suggestion.
"Stick to coaching Buck. He has lost the plot," Jones said on Monday.
Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria and the state government did not wish to comment but it's understood Buchanan's idea had little appeal.
Let's hope it did.

Buck thinks because he coached the greatest team in history that his opinions are relevant. Disregarding that how good they were likely had little to do with his coaching.

You're right about John, but the point about having the international players available for more of the BBL is a fair one too, particularly if CA are wanting to add an extra team or two.

Tassie? They do really need an opening pair in the Shield comps. But I haven't heard anything yet to suggest this will happen. Or Jono Wells might be another one.
