It's a very hindsight-is-20/20 sort of thing. I don't think you could have made a sensible argument based on what people knew before the Test that there should have been any changes to the side.

As good as Aus were, they completely left the foot off the pedal everytime they had a chance to bury the series dead. They should have cruised to a win in Bangalore and India should not have had anything to bowl at but they did because Starc decided that he was going to bowl as though he were bowling against tail-enders. If they learned from that, they had multiple other chances as well but couldn't capitalise.
