In auckland if it hammers down overnight, usually the drainage system at eden park is good enough. Not here. Similar to the farce at Napier with the oditbf it was absolutely hammering down last night in Auckland and I imagine it would have been similar in Hamilton
Not surprising. Eden Park is the premier sports venue in our country's largest city. Seddon Park is a specialist cricket venue (and a very old one) in a mid-sized town. They can't afford to upgrade the outfield in the same way that Eden Park can.In auckland if it hammers down overnight, usually the drainage system at eden park is good enough. Not here. Where in the world covers the entire field? Never seen that before. (Except Docklands retractable roof, I suppose)When they cover the entire field in other countries, how does that work with getting rid of the water - do they have little gutters built into the covers or something? Otherwise how do they remove the water?
