***Official*** Australia in India 2017

How important is hand eye co-ordination to Smith's technique really? Once his eye begins to go, will his average plummet too?
Pretty ****ing important if you ask me. His whole game is based on his ability flick that straight ball on the off/middle peg through mid wicket. That's the bed rock of his game and if he starts to miss that and fall over ala late career Ponting, shits gona get ****ed up for Steven.

Thankfully this whole scenario is still good five years away so when the time comes he'll probably have 10k runs, 40 tons and an average of 69. Although that won't stop Blocky from saying ' I told you so'

From a neutral POV, You don't want to see India pile on 600. Australia keeping India lead for less than 75 would set up an amazing test with the crack opening up

Yeah India posting anything in the 325-375 range sets up the game for the last few days.

It's not a vein of form, he's just on the road to being an ATG batsman.
Quite clearly a decreasing trend. I expect him to be averaging around 10 in the 2067 Test Championship.

I would just sit back and enjoy the series if I was you people. If I read all the comments on this thread I'd have given up on cricket for life!

Give up cricket because people generally like their own teams and tend to praise them while talking crap about their opponents?

Bit of an overreaction I'd say.

Allow me to explain? I'm enjoying this series greatly (when I can view it) and then I click on here!! Whining about the pitch; whining about the players (even Warner, Kohli and Ashwin are copping it now!); whining about DRS; whining about this; whining about that. Both sides have played fantastically and we should have a fitting conclusion. Just sit back and watch the thing - grab a beer or whatever your poison is - and stop whining!

And I thought us Poms were supposed to be the whingers? (I'd have bitten your hand off if we'd had a series half as good as this one, but then England didn't turn up.)
