***Official*** Australia in India 2017

Overall this is under par I think. I don't think it's a 450 par pitch or anything, there's something there, but Australia will need to bowl well in the first innings and keep it close at least to be able to take advantage of bowling last. No more than a 50 run deficit or so.

It's an interesting pitch honestly. Has looked like a road at some points today and at other times the ball has jagged off a crack or turned sharply in a way that's a bit alarming for a day 1 pitch that also has good bounce. Definitely less dead and slow than Ranchi so if it turns it's going to be tricky to bat on. Should be totally fine to bat on tomorrow though so India would be expecting a lead.

The real key is going to be Pujara and Vijay since there's not a lot of batting depth there.

Fantastic. Haven't seen a typical dismissal like that much this series.

Yay Bhuvi gets a wicket at last. New ball works, surprisingly enough

Alright well 92 runs for 4 wickets isn't the worst given the pitch is good to bat on. 300 all out from 131 - 1 is a massive effort on day one though.

Not that Lyon did a lot wrong today, but why doesn't he bat behind Hazlewood. These days Haze seems more likely to hang around a bit and Lyon seems to get out very quickly quite often. Probably not a lot of difference in terms of the impact it would likely have, though.

Haze has to come in last else he'll run everyone out
