How lame would it be if Maxwell got out now and Kohli did the stupid shoulder celebration?
The most disappointment part of this series for me has been Kohli. Not his batting but his behaviour. I've got nothing against people just being ****s, that's fine and adds to the interest in the game, but Kohli has just been so moronic with most of the **** he's done and said this series. The "shoulder celebration", the DRS-cheating-claiming etc. I really can't make any sense of it.

This is like park cricket in the PDCA when one side wants to go have a beer but the other wants to keep playing for no discernible reason. Maybe Virat wants some time in the middle.

We were all basically watching this match expecting **** to go down in Days 4 and 5. It's been pretty dull barring a few really good spells and the occasional brain fade from the batsmen keeping it interesting.

But yet you know this pitch will be rated better than the first two test's pitches. Zzz

Really should stop rating pitches on these idealogical concepts of what enables 'good' cricket and instead base it on how much enjoyment the spectators get. Thrilling cricket is what will bring in new fans and makes the $$$. Not **** like this. And sure that's a slippery slope that could lead to either hyper flat hit-a-six-whenever-you-want pitches or Sabina Park style pitches, but those would still be preferable to this.

You mean like "I should be able to play a back foot defense to a short ball without worrying about the ball rolling along the ground"?

That was bad too, but surely this is worse is what his point it. It's been painful to watch for the most part.

I posted this back on Day 1 but it reminded me way too much of SSC to expect it to break up lots. The ridiculous consistency in bounce, pace and turn on Day 1 pointed to this sort of thing IMO.

Even despite this and even despite the really slow scoring we're actually probably only an extra session away from a result, but it was never going to becoming a minefield late in the game.

thats a bugger for Maxwell. shouldnt dent his confidence too much but still he'l be annoyed he didn't just blast it instead of push/prodding

hope he doesnt change anything about his 1st innings style for the next test
