Fascinating stuff, but you just know that there's going to be a flurry of wickets some time soon - Aus really need to keep the score ticking up

In all seriousness, if Indian selectors had any brains, they would review Kohli's captaincy after this series. He hasn't shown any aptitude or nous for the task, and what's worse, he is impulsive and a liability in terms of both DRS and the team's reputation. Unfortunately, in India, speaking passable English and being good with the bat is justification enough for the top job.

Can't be too harsh on a guy who has won every series recently.

Have any of you spin bowling ****s ever tried making your skin rougher intentionally? Or was it just me? I used to rub rubbing alcohol and tincture on my middle and index finger every morning. Fingers didn't blister and I could put more effort into it.

Just you, I'm afraid :P Skin toughens under consistent pressure, be it calluses from lifting weights, or spinning a cricket ball. Of course, calluses can burst every now and then and put you out of commission for a while.

I do get the feeling that India and Kohli are just magically expecting for wickets to fall.

That absolutely terrible review didn't make sense either leaving them with just one now. India getting caught up in their own hype imo after the England series.

It's not like Smith has covered himself in glory either. Let's face it, most of the current crop of captains are morons. It's just a case of who outmorons whom.

I'm not watching this but I'm pretty sure we'll pull this out. Even if these two bat out the next fifteen overs. The game will pick up once the finish line comes into sight.

Gotta keep piling on Kohli here so when Jono comes back and reads through the thread he feels friendless.

These things matter.

Lifting calluses are different. After the initial popping during the first few weeks, when you have set a limit on the weights you hit, calluses do not usually return. Some spots on your palm get permanently tough though, like the little spot just below my little finger. Haven't lifted much in years but that spot has stayed hard.
