India did well to fight back. Looks like some of the horrors Jadeja was producing at times on the second morning was merely very good bowling. First session tomorrow gonna be crucial, I can see India running away with it if they can keep it to 0-1 wickets lost.

This has happened so many times and yet people get surprised

Jadeja puts crazy revs on the ball. He's basically Derek Underwood isn't he? Quick, lots of revs, crazy accurate. What a bowler.

Decent start, but it will all come down to whether we can bat out 150 overs in the first innings. Need to bat 4 more sessions. The Aussies need one magic spell of reverse-swing, or the spinners picking up a few in quick succession.

Good day for India in the end, if Kohli was 100% fit I would have felt more confident in hoping for a repeat of the last 2 tests against England, but right now the batting looks thin even with the extra batsmen. Each batsmen needs to put a price on their wicket, no freebie wkts plz. As usual Vijay/Pujara to be crucial tommorow morning.

rohit should be in the team regardless anyway. he was just starting to find his feet at test level in his last few digs against NZ

His most recent Test innings was gun. The runs he scored in the couple of innings before that were pretty downhillskiiish though. He literally came in at 450/4 at one point I think.
(EDIT: Actually I got that backwards. His most recent Test innings was actually the pointless one -- the good 82 came just before that.)

But yeah now that he's fit again he should be in the frame. He's rightfully behind Nair at the moment but there's no reason to rule him out if there's an injury.
