***Official*** Australia in India 2017

Whatever it takes!!!
It is scary indeed to see Maxwell knuckle down like this. ON a flat track, there is no bowler here who can get him out unless he gets himself out. Same for the chump. I still think it will be a 330-350/4 kinda day. Unless Maxi decides to be the Maxi we all know.

tbh ***** against test standard 140kmph+ bowlers i wouldnt back myself to focus my vision from the bowler's front foot to the batsman fast enough to make accurate lbw calls

that might be why
I've actually asked high level umpires this and they reckon it isn't a real problem provided you position yourself correctly.

I think umpires just develop bad habits + are willing to miss the no-ball call in exchange for catching the faint edge and getting the tight LBW call correct - which imo is backwards given we have DRS to correct those but no mechanism to correct missed no-balls.

What the hell is this Australian commentator chuntering on about, driving in ice or some bollocks?

PS

Will take that session after the first. Could have gone a long way to losing the match in those two hours if we'd collapsed.

Bit of a flipside of the first session, this time it was Australia's but India at least kept the runs down to counteract the lack of wickets (whereas the first session was the other way around).

Is ''that's for sure'' the latest saying to afflict Australians everywhere? ''Steve Smith is playing well, that's for sure''. I've heard Clarke, Hayden and Brett Lee say this all the time.
