Both Ashwin and Jadeja would have to change/improve their bowling to match Lyon's career record if they played the vast majority of their tests outside the SC

so will Lyon if he played the majority in the SC. This is a stupid argument.

Not saying that it will play badly but the pitch looks like something that would be dished up on day 8 of a timeless test at the Adelaide Oval without the footmarks

So about the only time an Adelaide pitch will be good is by day 8. sounds fair.

I seem to recall some idiot on 9 using the phrase ATG with Warner last summer so he can't be dropped. Iirc the context was a discussion about him being in that club.

This IS a typical Indian day 1 wicket. You gotta target 450+ for the first innings. Even 350 will be a win for the side losing the toss. And given the form of Renshaw, Smith and Marsh, as well as the potential of Handscomb and destructive ability of Maxwell and Wade, I think we are in for a 400 run first day for sure. I am not going to be as gloomy as ***** but fuly expect 426/3 at close of play.

I was thinking Vijay at first too but with his recent injuries they might not go there. His shoulder injury was his left IIRC which should be okay in theory, but he still has that dodgy back as well.
