A myth IMOI think the posters who talk about Aussies whining and complaining were more referring to the media, ex players, commentators and some of the CW posters tbh. And dont get me wrong, there has definitely been a bit of whinging about the pitches already, sometimes subtly done and sometimes directly, by the Aussie players and support staff but it has not been as much as it has been in the past, for sure. And I think that is because for the first time in God knows how long, they have come in expecting conditions that would least suit them and prepared accordingly. Us giving them boom or bust wickets like Pune also did help them I feel as it does reduce the gap in quality of the spinners, just like how swinging conditions might end up helping India when playing outside the SC.
That said though, this test will be where both teams will be tested like never before in this series. There is little to no psychological advantage for either side and now India now Aussies have more than done their homework for these conditions. It will be interesting to see how the first two days go. I expect Warner, Chump and Maxi to do the damage with the bat and Cummins and SOK with the ball. Good chance we are gonna lose this, IMO.
Both Ashwin and Jadeja would have to change/improve their bowling to match Lyon's career record if they played the vast majority of their tests outside the SC
