Chris Broad.. No prior indiscretions with their use of the DRS.
That says it all, he's saying there was no complaints to the umpires before the incident. Pretty obvious that Kohli made up some big fat ones, after all when he makes a complaint on a cricket field it's a scene out of a Bollywood action movie.

The DRS thing is hardly important.

Stoinis - now that's doubling down on the Stupid. MMarsh wasn't bowling and barely made a run - I know let's replace him with a guy in even worse than dire form with the bat and who isn't really much of a bowler - what could possibly go wrong?

The justification was that he had done well in India on the A tour and he's the better bowling option. What this suggests to me is that Maxwell is looked at as the batting AR while Stoinis will be the bowling one. Have no idea about how good his bowling is and whether he's the right man for that bowling AR spot.

Starc sent home with foot fracture. Massive blow. Almost as big as Shakib Al Nuffie missing a T20 vs Afghanistan for Bangladesh.

Come on down Pat Cummins.

When the **** did this happen???
The commentators (siva, clarke, gavaskar, shastri iirc) had a competition to see who could pull off the Ishant face. Very noble of them imo, they tried their best to distract from the review incident.

Jeez that's bad. Although if there was one bowler who was going to get that particular problem it was Starc, especially as it's happened before. He really pounds his heel into the ground and needs to land his foot a little flatter.

It's not just the bowling we'll miss, but also the runs down the order.

Didn`t Cummins say he wanted the international season off to get properly ready again, due to his continuing recurring injuries? Or was that Pattinson?

I think that was Pattinson. Cummins obviously hasn't had the international season off, having played quite a few.

Funnily enough, Australia will miss Starc almost as much for his batting as his bowling. Looked the most dangerous and capable of the Oz 6-11 bats this series.

Also, while it shouldn't be the main consideration replacing Starc with Bird could potentially leave Australia with a very weak 8-11.
