I don't mean they'll necessarily get worse, they could get better. I just think the fact that they've been at an almost identical level for 14 years is down to Wenger. It's his strengths that keep them as good as they are and his weaknesses that prevent them from taking the next step.Why? How much of a positive effect is Arsene actually having these days? Do you think the players that would remain would suddenly be less talented because a different manager was there? I don't really feel like the way they play under Arsene is getting them extra points or better results.
I think his strengths are mostly in squad building, so yeah it might be a year or two before they start to miss him.
