Out of interest, how is this financially viable? They - somebody - has obviously shelled out a fortune for these stars, yet the thing is being played in front of about thirty spectators in a run down city park! It is being broadcast free on youtube! The obvious answer is sponsorship, yet sponsors usually want their name on a widely seen brand. Well I am impressed how they pulled this off anyhow. I rather hope it is some millionaire expat Indian businessman who is so cricket mad he is happy to run it at a loss.

Cricket HK earns quite a lot from this. Sponsorship plus all the franchises leased the franchises from them, so they've made a nice buck from this I imagine. Also tickets for the weekend have been completely sold out, including the VIP section which is going 1000-2000 hkd per head

I have no idea how the franchises are making money off this tho.

Yea there are only 2 wickets. They should be using a different one today to the one yesterday IIRC. Will be alternating between them each day

Yeah, and Botha's bowled lots of medium pace in his time. I think his first hundred or so First Class wickets were all medium pace, in fact.
