This series so far is how everybody thought Australia's tour of Sri Lanka would turn out last year. And vice-versa.

I wouldn't have played Ishant at all though. Ideally Bhuvi would've played instead, and in that case I would've opened with Bhuvi and Ashwin.

Yup. But given Ishant is in the side, his best role is to bowl with the new ball. Yadav and the spinners bowl ahead of him once the shine is worn off.

This is just wasting the new ball now. Must be some reason that Ash isn't bowling. Maybe he's still feeling a niggle or smth.
