On the scale of 10, if the Chennai road is a 1 and Nagpur bunsen is a 10, this was like a 8.

And during the England series, Mohali was like 3, Vizag 4, Rajkot 2, Mumbai 6.

Indian fans wanted something in the 3 to 5 range. They didn't want a Chennai or a Rajkot. More of a Vizag category of assistance.

Anyone who compares SOK with Krezja in anyway trying to discount the quality of O'Keefe is a moron.

and one more time for the dummies...

Anyone who compares SOK with Krezja in anyway trying to discount the quality of O'Keefe is a moron.
I can't rate SOK too highly. Too much like Michael Beer.

Fmd mate. He's saying O'Keefe is a miles better bowler than Krayfish. Why is that so objectionable to you? Anyone can look at their records and see that's the case.

I'd understand your tying yourself in so many knots if he'd said O'Keefe was going to dominate the whole series, but he isn't. He's saying he's a better bowler than Krezja and the two aren't comparable.
Cool.

But Krejza bowled reasonably well in that single game on a flat pitch. Im just saying let's wait and see how sok goes in International cricket before saying he is a quality bowler. Domestic stats don't always mean much. He looks innocuous and Im sure India will have studied him by the next game.

And the pitch against Bangladesh was a 2 as well, so we were all worried about possibility of roads.

About the pitch itself Kohli said: "I don't think it was any different from the turners that we played on in the past. We just didn't play good cricket. You can ask me any sort of question or any perception about the loss. We know exactly what happened, the mistakes that we made. External perceptions don't matter to us, they have never mattered to us.

"We played good cricket, that's why we won. We played bad cricket, and that's why we lost. That's how simply we look at this defeat.
Good from Kohli unlike some of the posters here

Yeah Kohli's comments were spot on and incisive imo. Makes him a dangerous opponent. I'd feel less worried if he'd come out and said it was a fluke, or some such thing.

Can't believe the Aussies have done this tbh.......had a gut feeling they may have been competitive in the series, but that was a complete domination. Surely no one expected that??

I hope the indians have some ticker to bounce back, if they do this could shape up to being an awesome series.

Here's something interesting about Stephen OKeefe. He's toiled away for years in Fc cricket, honing his craft, keeping it tight, taking wickets etc etc.

Finally gets a test spot, and, surprise surprise, he does well.

Surprising innit selectors?

Typical Kohli. Also very self-centred. It's all about what we did, and what we didn't do. No credit or condemnation for the opposition. That's how you should look at it tbh. Control the things you can control. If you lose it's because you weren't good enough.

I don't know enough about those wickets on previous Indian tours, but the UAE ones turned when NZ toured straight after Aust in 2014, even Mark Craig was getting it to rip :p

Not sure how much prep Aust did prior to previous tours to India either.
They turned a little, but compared to this wicket or the Sri Lankan ones they were definitely roads. Pakistan were consistently scoring 500+, if they weren't roads then neither are the wickets we generally produce.

You see some funny stuff on Facebook.

One of my friends was a good player in his day whilst its' fair to say that one of his had game (let's call him "X")

Last night, my friend made a post directed at X which basically said "We got that wrong. Great win on a **** pitch."

X responded with "Home ground advantage bit them on the arse."

X's comment brought people with Indian sounding names out of the woodwork having a go at him for Aussie bias, being a bad winner, having no idea etc etc

X is Barry Richards :laugh::laugh::laugh:

He did give them credit though. He also condemns the opposition all the time, like how he criticized the way England didn't trust their defence.

Harbahajan blaming the pitch and saying that in his day they had to bowl on plate glass etc etc.
Question Bhajji, if this is the worst ever Australian team to tour (which is bull**** cause the last one was clearly worse) and the pitch was was so terrible 'anyone' could take wickets on it then how come they scored 285 between your countrymen's two sucky innings?

Also funny him talking about that you don't need to flight the ball on such wickets. I don't recall him being the biggest flighter of the ball himself.
