I wonder what Warne's going to say after this. One thing I don't doubt is that if O'Keefe goes more than five overs without a wicket in the next match he'll be straight back criticising him.

Iyer just hit a "**** you!", double hundred against SoK but that track might have been different. Had some grass in it iirc. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get his input on how to play him at least even if he is not included in the team.
Unlikely to see a crazy spinning pitch again.

If Kumbles sees one, he'd get it watered right away lol! His first loss and such a big loss too... all thanks to playing on a track unlike any this home season. Not one seemed prepared.

He'll still find ways to shill for Swepson. If anything he'll put O'Keefe on a grand pedestal just to attack him further if he doesn't do as gloriously in the next few tests.

Calling it now.

Its going to turn anyway after 3 or 4 days. Might as well give us the best chance of dealing with it when it happens.

Does Warne get a share of Swepson's CA contract if he gets one?

Ouch, so India losing by 3 innings and 15 runs. Although to be fair that's India sized innings. On Australia's first innings they it was an innings and 48 runs.

Pretty humiliating either way.

Speaking of leg spinners, Zampa's 6/62 today is sure to intensify calls for him to be picked. Although the dismissals were rather lacking in quality.

One thing that looks certain for next test is that India won't be playing with 3 spinners. Would be interesting to see if they opt for an extra batsman or a pacer.

For Bengalore,

1. Vijay
2. KL Rahul
3. Pujara
4. Kohli
5. Rahane
6. K Nair
7. Saha
8. Ashwin
9. Jadeja
10. Bhuvi
11. Umesh

I think this is a fairly balanced side. Bhuvi will be able to extract swing in Bengalore. He should play. I feel Jayant wont be effective so he either you bring in a bowler or a batsman in place of him or Pandya as the other only all rounder. Pandya is not ready yet(?). Any other spinner will be a waste in Bengalore caz I dont see a rank turner there. Ashwin and Jadeja are enough. That leaves with a pacer or a batsman. After this heavy loss, an extra batsman will give India addition layer of security. Thus think Nair should come in.

I'd probably actually go with the same balance for the next Test if I was picking India's team. The pitch presumably will be a lot flatter or at least a more 'standard' Banglaore pitch rather than a repeat of this one, and I think the balance they have suits that a lot better than three quicks or only four bowlers. If it's going to be another massive turner they might as well go with another batsman but I find that that eventuality very unlikely.

I'd think about Bhuvi and Nair anyway, but for Sharma and Rahane respectively rather than a balance change.

A) Steeve O Keefe WAFG.

B) Lol what a thrashing

C) India just played **** cricket. No need to panic and drop half the team. They just made a bunch of dumb mistakes, they need to regroup, refresh, and knuckle down. Probably just worn from what has been a long season and complacent after a lot of success.

Credit to Australia, they have a come very well prepared, Smith showed his class and his hunger, and SOKky made Shane Warne eat a dick. Starc, Haze and Lyon were quality. We knew they were a strong side if everyone clicked, and that's what happened.

Exciting series ahead. Lets hope we bounce back strong and hungrier or we're getting ****ed.

I have no doubt Nair's going to suck too if he has to bat on a turner. That one triple on an absolute road and some people have made him out to be this great player of spin bowling.

The thing with Jayant Yadav is he appears to be a support spinner who does his job well when the team is on top but if you need quick wickets then Jayant isn't an option.
