Bowled Ferguson, figures have been a bit unflattering for him today, but he's looked okay. Just a little wide at times.

Excellent ball from Ferguson.

I am blaming this all on Duminy... since he came in and played so poorly it has just put all the other batsmen under pressure. deVillers our only hope.

Duminy's overall ODI record is still pretty damn good (38 @ 83), but there's no doubt he's looked ordinary in NZ conditions & that you're missing Rossouw.

The problem with Duminy is he can`t be trusted to do the job... and his numbers are inflated by 4 hundreds, 3 against Zim, 1 against Netherlands. And lots of not outs because our top 4 is so strong. If he gets to 50+ he tends to increase his SR, but more often than not he scores at a SR of 60ish for the first 30/40 balls and then gets out for 20/30 runs. Not good enough. I`m just tired of it, we have better batsmen in SA (even with the loss of Rillee).

Parnell good supporting innings.... happy considering but think that this score is about par.

Another outstanding ABD innings.

270 is around par, mayb 10 short. No guptill means pressure on taylor and kane again.

One game too many for Latham as keeper/opener? Not sure how much of an effect the keeping has had on his form this series but I worry his confidence is shot. And he's badly needed for the tests.

Best I`ve seen Parnell bowl in a long time...

Edit: And then he drops one short.. (sigh)

With regards to Latham's opening and keeping in ODIs, have been thinking about the Champion's Trophy in England and assuming there might be swing around, meaning a test opener would be a good bet. However I remembered the last ODI series we played there where 350 was par score - if the pitches are like that then we'd be better with more of a biffer.

The composition of the side suits having a keeper that opens very well at the moment though.

Every so often he has one good game and then goes back to being ordinary, with that game being enough to keep him in the side. It looks like today might be one of those games, given what he's already done with the bat,

Largely agree with this. I definitely see Latham as the long-term ODI opener, as keeper from time-to-time possibly. In the immediate term, don't know if this was the best thing before an important test series.

Meanwhile the world's best 3-4 punch getting quite the workout out there.
