Soda streams radar has improved soooo much. Needs to tighten up a bit more, and learn how to think batsmen out, but you can really see him starting to become the player he promised to be at U19 level.

Poor captaincy from KW here. It's ripping, time to build pressure with spin from both ends.

International Captain
de **** is such a star. NZ need to have some plans for him as the series goes on.

KW's expression after the final ball of the previous over made really him look like Breaking Bad's Jesse Pinkman (aka Aaron Paul) for a second.

Haha amazing. Also Smithy is a moron. "First time we've seen this at international level" - there's a bloke literally playing this match who faced one. And two bounce balls aren't a no ball ffs.

Smithy calls things accurately about 18% of the time these days, & thinks it's the 1990s still.

Sodhi deserved that. Hard to say he doesn't deserve another game after his showing today.

He definitely does. We could drop Santner though imo that would be harsh, or we could just get used to playing two spinners in our ODI side.

That might not be such a bad thing - limited overs cricket these days is just not the place for seamers bowling 135 unless they're impeccably accurate and with great variations, so whether that leads us to leaving out Southee or someone else, I think it should be strongly considered.
