Truly awful batting, terrible T20 pitch... good pitch for SL, they`ve bowled well. SA experimental/inexperienced batting shown up.

That was really ordinary. Anyhow, AB should be back for the Cape Town game. Have him open instead of Smuts and get Phangiso to work with the top order about how to play spin.

AB cant pick and choose what games he likes and wants to play

You can see Phehlukwayo was taken by Dwayne Bravo when they two played together a couple years back. Did a poor impression of him today first up. Spinners keeping it tight here but not particularly threatening. Would have bowled out Ngidi against the new Matthews.

SL making a meal of this.... the best part of the game is Russel Arnolds nervousness in commentary.

Congrats Sri Lanka, made bit of a meal of it

Maybe wrong choice of bowler in the last over..

Phehlukwayo was bowling toilet but his name was made on death bowling. Smuts had bowled a good over before but Matthews has hit better spinners than he for six for fun, and you fancy Kulasekara, who can hit a ball, would have preferred Smuts than a pacer.

Congrats SL, got there in the end, Matthew played well.... agreed Andile should have bowled last over, Smuts should of bowled earlier. I am still not happy with Parnell`s bowling. Ngidi looks a really good prospect, needs some ironing out.

What was wrong with the pitch? I didnt watch the whole game
Not really a LO pitch, slow turning a bit, occasional ball staying down. Not a normal wanderers wicket of ball coming onto the bat and flying far. Provided an interesting game though... need these occasional pitches.

Does anybody know if the squad for the 3rd T20 has been picked?

Just finished watching recording of the match and can't believe I am saying this- well done to Sri Lanka on winning the game!! Mathews showing what he is capable of with the bat. As usual, some brainless batting from us almost cost us.. Mendis shouldn't be playing in this format, or de Silva either.. Well bowled to Sandakan too.. Hopefully we can win the next game too.. Hard luck SA but great effort by Tahir in the field and Ngidi looks like a real find..

Nice that the ProteasCricket channel on Youtube has (brief) highlights of these games.

Happy for SL and particularly Mathews - so many of his lone hands are in a losing cause, so it's a nice change when he gets to hit the winning runs.

Ngidi was spectacular. There's nothing like seeing a new bowler step up to international cricket and beat top-order batsmen for pace. Exciting prospect.

All the away teams are being thumped in all formats right now so this was quite good. First Pakistan win an one-dayer. Then this, and England win the dead rubber also. Do not necessarily know what it all means?

ODI squad announced: AB de Villiers (Titans, capt), Hashim Amla (Cape Cobras), Farhaan Behardien (Titans), Quinton de Kock (Titans), JP Duminy (Cape Cobras), Faf du Plessis (Titans), Imran Tahir (Dolphins), David Miller (Knights), Chris Morris (Titans), Wayne Parnell (Cape Cobras), Lungi Ngidi (Titans), Andile Phehlukwayo (Dolphins), Dwaine Pretorius (Highveld Lions), Kagiso Rabada (Highveld Lions), Tabraiz Shamsi (Titans).

Good squad overall I think, and nice to see Morris and Pretorius back.
