Just curious, is Rahane close to important people in the BCCI?

Genuinely can't understand how such a tried and tested limited overs failure can keep getting picked for an elite side like India.

Its very similar this to the Younis fiasco.

I might or might not pick him but there is no doubt that he has all the ingredients to be a success in ODIs, India also gave Rohit Sharma a very long rope just because the talent was there and he came good eventually, I think it's the same with Rahane, the team genuinely believes in him.

Dhawan's form is shot and Rahane is in the squad. Besides, he hit a 90+ score in the warmup so it is a straight swap.

Nasser excellent on yorkers. But even that small zone negated if batsman goes deep in crease or moves forward.

what did nas say? I assume it wasn't the simplistic "bowl more yorkers!!!"
Nah Nasser is actually good

They put up a graphic of how Bumrah was landing his yorkers in 'the zone' but went for a few anyway, and he was talking about how it isn't enough anymore because batting has moved on faster than bowling.

I think it was him that added you need a bit of lateral movement to make it the weapon it used to be. 2 new balls has really taken that away.

Funny how Woakes has been good opening the bowling on belters but he's bowling pies on the most helpful one yet.
