All the teams in the subcontient have been reprimanded for producing non-result oriented pitches. I wonder if the ICC will rate this pitch as poor

Well, we'll never know now considering we ate too much time out of the game and gave them no incentive to do it.

He's got the verbiage wrong, but the mentality right - if they were 100 runs ahead when we declared, they'd be more likely to go after a score of 200-250 and declare, giving us two opportunities - one, getting their batsmen out early while they attempt to attack us, two, actually having a target set for us to chase.
So Bangladesh were going to set us 300-350 with a day to play? Maaate, you're dreaming.

Turning it around though...

Bangladesh have been far better this test than we have with their seamers, they bowled mostly good lines and lengths and although their figures look equally as messy (except Kamrul), they troubled our players far more than our seamers troubled theirs. Off the back of being trounced in the limited overs stuff and their performances against England, this should be a sign that they've got a team that can start to build in the same way the mid nineties Zimbabwe side did.

And Southee just needs to **** off. What a ****ing prick.

Southee - one over of OK bowling, didn't get much out of it, so goes back to short **** bowling that the batsman smacks around.... yet, probably still first name on the team sheet for Larsen.

Bangladesh scoring at almost 5 an over.

They've beaten us in all departments this match and deserve to win this Test.

Santner bowls too stump to stump against the lefties, needs to be outside off stump more.

Also, GG at Williamson's field setting for Santner.

Probably will finish with an average closer to 40 than 30.
Highly likely, considering NZ Cricket seems loathe to drop him at the moment.

"Oh but Pakistan..." - be easy being a batsman if you only had to perform once every 15 innings.

Wagner is our bowling attack.

Boult and Southee are too soft to lead a bowling attack, they become innocuous the moment the ball stops moving around.

It's astonishing to me that Boult appeared to land just one delivery in the right place to beat the bat in his opening 20 or so.

Such a contrast to watching Abbott & Philander sythe through Australia by landing 5 out of 6 in the right place every over, while Boult manages 1 in 20 deliveries. I get this is a flat wicket with a small margin of error, but this is pretty crazy.

Sack the NZ bowling coach & replace him with a handkerchief on the practice pitch.
