Parnell new ball... would like to have seen Rabada with it.
Give him a couple of overs and if he isn't getting any shape, let Rabada or Olivier have a crack. Don't want to waste the new ball here. First over didn’t get any movement.

Not happy with Parnell here, to much back of length and on the pads I have always associated with him... not good enough for a quality test bowler.

Very good from Sri Lanka here but pretty poor from South Africa so far. Just can’t expect the opposition to roll over. Abbott and Philander up front were great on putting the opposition straight under pressure, but they haven’t been able to assert that so far.

some nice shots from Mendis especially counter attacking Rabada at times..He just needs to get better at picking when to attack and when not to...

Missing Abbott/Steyn genuine swingers of the ball.... Parnell struggles to swing it nowadays and Rabada /Olivier are more back of a length, length, bowlers with a bit of bounce and speed.

and SL showing some good fight.

Hasn’t got the numbers but I quite like Silva. He knows how to stick around and seems to value his wicket.
I'm the same, I enjoy Silva batting, I always feel like SL are fighting hard when he is still at the crease.

I was just looking up stats, I notice Amla is still below 50, at 49.99. Bavuma is averaging exactly 30 with both bat and ball.

Nicely done

In his s younger days Wayne Parnell could swing a cricket ball miles. What happened to him?

Looking at how bad Lanka tours.

Are countries abusing the system by organizing incoming tours from Lanka just after Sri Lanka has played a big home series?
