A deep point isn't a bad move against BD IMO. Dry up the boundaries and let the BD batsmen brain-fade their way to their dismissals. Tried and proven strategy in all conditions.

At this point I'd have Santner and Wagner bowling, none of the other guys have even got near to a consistent line and length and it's really just letting BD coast.

He's our version of Mitchell Johnson (obviously not as quick). Wasn't a fan originally but he continues to get important wickets for us no matter how ugly they are.

Yeah, both seem to get pace off of the wicket, rather than lose it.

Wagner can be just as dangerous bowling fuller, but I feel they've just typecast him as the bowl short, bustle them out guy - he doesn't even get the ball until the shine is stripped off it.

Thankfully that second one was dropped

But yea that's what these guys do. Stroke a minute. Not sure it's the best strategy here. This isn't an unplayable surface. We should be grinding.
