***Official*** England in India 2016/17

If the England batting is more or less pencilled in for the next world cup, there are still plenty of opportunities for bowlers to come from outside the current group. I wouldn't say any of the current group are really guaranteed spots as bowlers yet. This tour should be a good test. Bowling against good bats on flat wickets.

We could do with a road to the 2019 WC thread.

England's limited overs bowling's been pretty average in recent times, while their batting approach has become really aggressive.

Have a feeling Dhoni will have a good run before he retires. Looks back in touch for good this time.

Great knock from Dhoni. Pushing India to what you'd consider a strong score, as sounds like the pitch is a bit slow.

Is this online to watch anywhere?

Also why is Rayudu not in your ODI side? Averaging over 50 and not deemed good enough, how does that work?

England bowlers since the last WC. 9 guys with 10 or more wickets. Every one within a economy rate between 5 and 6. Topley the only guy with an average under 30. It's just average. Really by 2019 need a couple of guys who are capable of averaging 20-25 and/or economy in the 4s. It's noticeable looking down other teams stats and they all have better performing bowlers.

Haven't checked but I'm guessing that Rayudu's games have been mostly against Zimbabwe.

EDIT: Now I've checked and he seems to have done well against everyone in the limited opportunities he's got. Been unlucky I guess.
