The ACC gets a little tedious after a while though; I generally go to Coney/Waddle and co.
Yeah I usually go Coney/Waddle for test matches. ACC for short format, much more entertaining. Although it's a lot better when they have both Jason Hoyte and Jeremy Wells doing the ball by ball as they both know quite a bit about cricket.

I'm a fan of Mills in commentary, has more technical knowledge than the rest. Nathan McCullum is a deadset job for mates selection, awkward to listen too and adds nothing to the coverage.

Had to laugh yesterday when those 2 winners of the amateur commentators comp, did 3-4 overs, and to be honest, were the best of the lot! Had some inside knowledge of the players (seems like it's the first time the commentators have watched most of the players), and called well. Put Craig Cumming to shame (who is rubbish).
Gosh those two were so much better than the usual lot, would be great to hear them do a longer session of commentary so they could relax a bit ... with only three overs they had to really do a ball by ball and couldn't get into any deeper discussion.

What I would like to know about Cummings (and Styris as well actually) is why is he so obsessed with Mark Richardson? Even when Richardson isn't there and has nothing to do with anything he will bring him up. He's obsessed. It's a little scary.

Ick.

Also, no mention of Neesham - is he injured? Brownlie and Nicholls there instead.

Kane Williamson (captain), Jeet Raval, Tom Latham, Dean Brownlie, Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, Colin de Grandhomme, BJ Watling, Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner, Trent Boult.

Lol, my expectations of Gavin Larsen & Hesson's selections are so low these days, I'm don't really even get disappointed anymore. Lol @ Nicholls' inclusion.

Still confused at the omission of Neesham and I can't find any reporting anywhere on why he's not in - he's been in good form with the bat, scored runs in India (briefly), scored in the Australia ODIs and in general his batting looks better controlled and seems to have kicked up a gear. Admittedly CDG was preferred in the tests against Pakistan and so gets to call himself incumbent, however if Neesham's not injured then I can't see a single reason to select both of Nicholls and Brownlie above him, on batting alone.

Edit: Also didn't play for Otago in T20 on 3rd Jan, maybe he does have a niggle then?

Gavin Larsen thinks Nicholls' has a cute smile & Larsen's daughter likes him, whereas Neesham looks a little rough around the edges, even with his flash new haircut.

Neesham is way more bae than Nicholls.
Haha yeah dunno about 'rough around the edges', Jimmy too much the blithe and wordy twitter star sticking his head un-NewZealandishly above the parapet perhaps.

Or he could just be injured, I dunno.

Well that answer that question

Three changes for New Zealand - Neil Broom, Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson, who made his T20I debut in the previous game, are out. They have been replaced by Jimmy Neesham, Ish Sodhi and Trent Boult. George Worker is not playing.
