That's a big thing though, a lot of guys just smack him around and open up the chance of getting out, I'd say at least 60-70% of his wickets come from a batsman looking to hit him to the boundary rather than defend him.
Yep, there you go. Big brain fade from Ali, luckily it hasn't cost him.

Complaining about the lack of spin on day two? FFS Bill it's the SCG not some SC dustbowl. It'll be good to bad on again tomorrow and the spinners will come into it more and more from late tomorrow through days 4&5. You know. A proper Test match pitch.

This is going to be a serious bit of ass pounding for Pakistan. Feel sorry for them but then again they did lose 2 - 0 to NZ so can't really expect too much from them.

Are you that biased that you can't understand how flat and docile this wicket is? Yes, it shouldn't be turning square angles and shooting low on Day 2, but there should be some element of seam and spin available by the end of the day, this is the nudest wicket of the series so far.

Swann got as many wickets out with guile and flight as he did tin-ass them though.
Hmmm, not really. He wasn't one to massively vary his pace and trajectory, more that he was able to bowl a vicious off-break at pace from wide on the crease, and also one that slid straight onto middle stump, and no left-hander could actually tell the difference between the two.

And he got plenty of jammy wickets as well, as well as blokes caught on the fence/ring.

By the way, running down the wicket in lieu of actually appealing for an LBW was annoying as hell when Stuart Broad did it and it's annoying now with Haze. Really hope someone has a word to him about it.

Did Wade get a glove on that chance which went to Warner at leg slip? Only saw one replay of it.

Glad to see Pakistan got through to the end of the day only 2 down. Saw the first couple fall and it seemed another rout was on the cards (I guess it still is). Would like to see them make a fist of getting close to Australia's score though.

Australian batsmen averages at home are just phenomenal these days,

We had the Voges/Bradman thing going on & now we have Handscomb after 4 tests averaging 90 & Renshaw almost 65. They're just filling their boots. Amazing stuff.

Really? I thought Warner should have swallowed it tbh.
Tough one. It was actually pretty fine and only really headed Warner's way because it caught Wade's gloves on the way through. If he moved as well as he had to the one from SOK down the leg side Wade would have given himself a really good chance at it.

Warner probably shouldn't be at leg slip. Interesting they went with him rather than Renshaw. Had he stayed still longer he would have swallowed it, but it was Wade's to grab first.
