***Official*** Pakistan in Australia 2016/17

Definitely suit Australia more than the India tour back in 2014, those were probably the slowest Aus wickets in recent memory.

SA just outplayed Australia in the first 2 Tests.
Wait, there is no way that Hobart pitch suits Australia.

Honestly I don't think it's correct to say those decks against India suited India either. They just suited draws in the end, it just became near impossible to get 20 wickets.

The best thing about this innings from Renshaw is just how much more fluid he's become the longer he's been out there. He'll know he belongs at this level now. Starting to look like a guy with a lot of test runs in him.

Yeah looks the goods. I still don't really expect him to score many runs in India but he could definitely surprise me.

God that must **** you as a captain. Bloke bowls one good ball, you might you might be onto something, then a massive half-volley.

Piss poor series from Yasir so far. Atleast Ashwin managed to do an admirable job of keeping the run rate down as much as possible while his pacers were getting dismantled.

A turgid era for Pakistan bowling, fielding and captaincy, one feels.
Amir has bowled like a demon but been a bit unlucky and completely unaided by the conditions, the rest of them are laughable; Shah hasn't been aided by the tactics they've used with him.

Wish we could train this "Make runs whenever you can" mentality into our NZ batsmen, that's the thing your guys have in spades, they're no where near the talent of some of our guys, but they don't give away the advantage once they've got it.

I was about to post that Amir has got to pitch the ball right up to Handscomb and try bowl him, but he's just hit four. Still think it's the correct strategy but he could do with being closer to the stumps to get a better angle and allow the ball to swing.

They didn't suit India directly. They blunted Australia's strengths a lot more than they blunted India's, for obvious reasons. The main reason Indian batsmen generally don't do as well in Australia is because of the pace and bounce. Take away a lot of that pace and bounce and there you go. While they didn't give India a better chance of winning than normal Australian pitches, they gave them a better
chance of not losing.

Yeah Asif was saying this too. He believes Amir hasn't been getting anywhere close to the stumps as he should.

If he's going to do that he needs to have his mid off deep, straight and preferably a little bit athletic.

Could he be an Australian Alistair Cook?

He's four tests in guys, and he's batted in some of the easiest conditions he'll ever see against a pretty neutered attack in Pakistan and a tired attack in South Africa... I feel you're creating another Voges.
