Just reading Bmac giving Patel a serve in his book for backing away vs. Steyn and co in 2013.
Jeez he got a hard time from that, I thought it was pretty spineless too at the time, but got to ask how Southee & a few of the others get away scot-free from similar criticism. Seems Jeets was singled out somewhat.

A lot of better batsmen than Patel have backed away against Steyn. I haven't read McCullum's book but I hope he had at least 5 or 6 chapters on how rubbish he was as a batsman.
