Exactly. Love hearing commentators talk like this. If their captain walked into Healy and Warne and said he was declaring to leave a side >2 days to score 450 they'd want him sacked.

Seriously, why would he do it? Could understand in a dead rubber if they can't lose a series, but if two blokes get going, Pakistan wins, Australia is 1-0 down having dominated most of the match and Smith would (rightly) lose his job.

Lead is already 400 with 50 overs scheduled in the day. It's simple for me, bat the 15 or so over before the dinner break, look to score at 5s, set Pakistan 475 to win & get the 2 hour hour session under lights.
