I don't understand why people are so hard on either Warne's or Clarke's commentary when you have the likes of Nicholas, Healy & Brayshaw (they seem to have replaced him thank ***) to contrast with them in the same Comm box.

Neither Warne nor Clarke are anywhere near as sickly to listen to as Mark 'the poofy cheerleader' Nicholas, surely.
i'm quite a mark nicholas fan, think he's got the best voice in the australian comm box and i think he's quite the orator for big moments, especially in the long game

I still can't tell if you're trying to be funny or not

I thought that too, but apparently according to Renshaw press conference TPC walked in after the sesh and said "yeah I smashed it"
so i get to have my "steve smith's a **** bloke" cake and i get to eat the "they still didn't appeal so he didn't have to walk" cake too

Our attack being more venomous relies on Bird being a little better than at Adelaide.

Handscomb really seems to struggle with those short of a length ones from that angle.

I'm not sure as an Australian fan it's as noticeable how one-sided he is with his gushing over Australian players. But as a neutral it's really noticeable when Warner is simply "Out" and then Amla is "OUT, OUT, OUTTTTT!!!!"

To be fair, it could be instructed at a high level, I'm not sure, but it's sickening to listen to.

Warne is far worse than Nicholas IMO. Just gets far too distracted in the box and is more interested in himself rather than the game.

I'd rather that than Nicholas tbh. At least it's unpredictable him talking about off-field stuff, With Nicholas we know exactly what we're going to get, Anyway, I shouldn't complain when I have a mute button.

Incidentally, I really like Michael Clarke's insights.

You're not suggesting Shane Warne is a narcissist are you? Outrageous.

I actually rate Clarke too. Voice is a bit cringe though.

Probably people don't rate him because they don't like him rather than judging his commentary on its merits.

I don't mind Nicholas when he isn't too excited. Clarke has improved a lot since last year in his delivery.

For the record, if you like Nicholas after "NOT YET HE HASN'T" You can go and infract yourself quite frankly.

Oh god, trying to watch this in the office and got a bloke on the phone who says the government is trying to lock him up because of a conspiracy, and he doesn't have a mental health issue at all. Says it's been going on since at least the year 2000 and there are multiple doctors involved in the conspiracy to lock him up.

Bloody sad, but it's Friday arvo ffs and the cricket is on.
