This applies to all of them tbh. Everything said about them could and probably was said about Clarke, Amla, KP at some point. ABdV might get there but I doubt it tbh.

I will make an exception for Root though, simply because England play so many Tests.

Right, this is his main problem and the problem for anyone not from Australia, England or India. You really have to be way above the rest in terms of output (Sanga) or you have to stick around for a long time (Chanders, Mahela) to get past 10k. Will KW have a 15+ year career? Because he'll have to.

The way I read, he was excluding his runs against Zimbabwe, not his "better performances". The two might be the same, but removing the minnows and then checking the average is not "pointless"
