***Official*** Australia vs New Zealand ODIs 2016/17

Moss

International Captain
Williamson should stop ringing in the changes and focus on getting 2-3 tight overs in. Just too many freebies.

the team australia is picked is fine. probably one of the more logical they've picked. there's really only one issue, the finch problem, but of course that wasn't gonna be resolved today. otherwise, the bowling attack is as it should be. marsh over faulkner is right. head over maxwell is fine in that they already made that call during the winter and it would have been a bit weird to drop head before he gets a chance in australia. marsh and hard should have been swapped in the batting order.

This is a but contradictory. He's ringing the changes because his bowlers are have been unable to get 2-3 tight overs in

I don't get how people underrate Faulkner so much

He's a better bowler and batter than Mitch Marsh for starters, he'd be in ahead of Cummins and Hazlewood as a player easily, maybe even purely as a bowler he'd still be ahead of them in ODIs.

With less sloppiness and another 1-2 wickets, NZ would have had a good chance of restricting Australia to something below par, maybe 250-270.

And given NZ's weak/inexperienced batting from number 4 down, it's hard to see them chasing much more than that.
