Nowhere near that massive an advantage IMO.
Yeah its ridiculous how much talk there's been about pitches in India, sooooooo much talk and constant checking of whether its breaking up literally every session that people seem to lose their heads and bat normally.

Lol and almost invariably that talk is from the poor old opposition batsmen who have to face Ashwin on it on days 4 and 5. :p Try telling them it's nothing to worry about just talk & there's nothing untoward.

Maybe they don't have to face him for that long on day 4 or 5 if they bat well in the first innings eh?

Whatever it takes!!!
It happened in the RSA series itself and has been happening ever since. People just not able to digest the fact that India are actually playing well in these conditions. These are not unplayable conditions or even bad conditions for test cricket, its just that these are tracks that amplify India''s strengths and mostly also amplify the areas where the opposition are weaker. Anyways, all this toss talk is nonsense AFAIC. You can probably say India is good enough to llikely utilize these conditions but to me it is, India win the toss 65-35 India, and if they lose the toss its 55-45 to the opposition, esp. on the tracks seen in these series.

And I would argue England would have been in the game a lot more on more turning tracks which can negate the toss advantage by turning from Day 1 but turn getting slower as the game progresses, and bounce getting uneven.

LOL Nasser saying he wants to see at least one raging turner in this series now that England are struggling on good pitches.

Do the stats look convincing Zinzan?
Not in the slightest indiaholic, because I'm specifically talking about this particular Indian team under Kohli....I wouldn't have said the same even 2-3 years ago.

The winning template of this side makes them exceedingly difficult to beat if they win the toss and bat first.

It's nothing but a compliment to say this either.
