Randy Newman opens for Weird Al Yankovic. It will be fun to watch the Pakistanis when they discover Henry's our true lower order troll & that Southee was just the warm-up.
Was just checking his record and, Zimbabwe aside, it's been slim pickings since his excellent tour of England in May 2015. This is already his third highest score since then, behind 58 and 46 vs Australia in Christchurch.Indeed, Watling badly needed this knock.
He should really be batting at 5 to be honest, he's being stranded so frequently, he's our best rear guard and when you've got a bunch of hitters around him, he can just do the accumulation role. At 7, he's heavily reliant that either someone from the top order sticks in with him, or the tail gives him enough chance to accumulate.Watling's the kind of player who seems to need a solid and free scoring player at the other end while he goes about things. Shouldn't be a surprise that his slim pickings have coincided with the batting becoming brittle since the England tour.
Agree with this. I'd feel more confident with him striding out than Nicholls, de Grandhomme or Santner. He should really be batting at 5 to be honest.
Soft hands and a firm stroke?Good BJ technique there.
