Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Gawd this is so tedious, the way that India jump around and make oohing noises every time Hameed doesn't middle the ball, particularly the slip,it's clearly trying to make him nervous, hope he realises it, or Cook has told him,
The blokes a Boltonian - having had the likes of Gimp on at him all his life will have fully prepared him for that

This whole "never played the game", "never watched the game" when someone points out something legitimate, such as India having spin friendly conditions -gasp- imagine that.... is pretty pithy.
I guess it wasn' the nicest way to say something. Yet, I figured too that Shri's remarks on Hameed being easy to fear was not his most brilliant contribution to this forum.

The young blogue looks really, really, really good!

Encouraging start, just waiting for the lollapse.

Well done Broad and Rashid for giving us the slimmest of slim chances of doing something special with the bat.

These two hanging in htere like this, puts England' first innings in perspective. India taking 5 for 100 on the end of day 2, is where they have won this test (still assuming they will win it). To put it a bit negatively, it is where England messed things up. One can imagine that things could have looked different if Root hadn't taken the wickets of HH and himself :) .

Out of 11 sessions we have played badly in maybe two of them. At least they've shown something which with 3 tests to play sounds fairly encouraging.

People have mentioned conditions and the toss but before today it has been most like the Lords test v Australia last year, except there we completely flopped after conceding a similar lead
