That's a really good catch.

Probably India's session, apart from the fielding. Moeen Ali's in to bat and no one's made a proper score yet.

Fun session that. Need a big one from Root.

102-3 is better than 30-3 so a decent start by our standards. Should make 400.

Whatever it takes!!!
Funny that Nasser says it was a good even contest between bat and ball. The pitch has literally nothing in it for the bowlers, except the early morning moisture for about 30 mins at the start of play. How the **** is that an even contest? It has just been good bowling, ordinary fielding, good and intelligent batting so far, but make no mistake, this is as much of a road as you can hope for in a test in India in these months.

100 on the board with Root still there and the real batting to come in now. It's even at the very least.

I was thinking before the 3rd wicket that was a good session for us, probably pretty even now.

3 down in the first session on a flat track is the bowler's session almost everytime.

Let's not pretend Moeen is Faf.

And this is possibly one of those occasions where it isn't.

From an England pov 102/3 is about as good as we get from our top order........sure beats 30/3 anyway!! Real batting is starting now.

It would've been India's session for sure if both Cook and Root were amongst the three wickets to fall. With Root still out there I'm happy to call it honours even though.

Did Atherton just say we will find out whether England can reverse swing later in the evening

We're not talking "relative", we're talking cricket. No one isn't saying its not better than 30/3

Cook is out. The ball was doing bubkis. That was India's session in my view. Doesn't mean it was a dominating session by them or anything, but wickets on flat tracks are wickets.
