Saf in Aus really produces good contests, 2009 and 2012 were both fantastic. Australia could've saved this game with some application as the pitch Wasn't treacherous and Saf missing Steyn was one reason why they lasted long.

I was wrong about Maharaj, should've waited more than 3 overs to make a judgement. Good bowler and he can hold a bat too. Fitting that he spanked Lyon for 3 sixes and now got his wicket as well.

I think that the better XI (or X if you prefer) won in the end. There's something to be said for applying yourself with the bat (and ball) and one team did that far batter than the other.
