International Debutant
He's 45 and last time I saw him play, he smashed Trent Boult for a six. That was in late 2007.

There was a point in the late 90's where Horne was my second favourite NZ batsman, behind Craig McMillan.

School Boy/Girl Captain
He would struggle to adjust to the current era helmets, as he used to exclusively sport the no grill model.

Nup, he's captaining Auckland A as we speak. Probably gone backwards a bit, from memory gave the game away for a season.

If Kane's captaincy doesn't work out, then yeah I can see it. Not like there's an abundance of good keepers coming through either.

Slippy thinks that there's no chat going on in the forum so has decided to advocate NZ recalling pensioners. I reckon he'll be going for Richard Hadlee next.

Wasn't he the kiwi captain at sometime
Specialist captain because the NZ side was crap and unruly. He couldn't bat well enough to make the side so took the gloves from Parore who became a specialist batsman. Not surprisingly, it wasn't very successful.
