*Official* English Football Season 2016-17

I think Reep's half right. Possession is a virtue but there's been times watching Rangers this season where I've wished we were faster and more direct with the ball.

What do people think of Warburton right now? Transfers look strange, not the sort of player he bought, or was allowed to buy, when he was with us.

He's lost a bit of his lustre but I'd say the majority of the support are still behind him.

No offence to Brentford but I think this is the first time he's come up against a real challenge and real pressure and I think it's taken him a little time to adjust to it.

I think some of his summer business has been strange; almost as if he's lost a bit of faith in his own methods and has gone down the 'experience' road that people always say you should go for. Having said that it's a real shame Kranjcar's knee has gone, he's some player.

The big worry for me is that we've looked really laboured and pedestrian in attack a lot of the time. We've conceded first in a lot of games this season and we're really bad when we're losing games.

Yeah I said that when he moved, there is just no comparison in the size of club, even if we play in a better league. We certainly saw some of what you are talking about as well after falling behind, although we did score loads of late equalisers. Not going to pretend our football under him was not the best I have seen but we did have better creative players than we do now, honestly have no idea how well he would have dealt with challenges that his successors have faced.

Veron was a hell of a player. Not that that makes him a good signing of course, because he wasn't, but I don't think anyone actually called that he would flop at the time.

Yeah, and despite being underwhelming by his own high standards, he was never as poor as Kleberson or Djemba Djemba. Not even close.

Bebe on the other hand was pretty turgid.

He was terrible, the fact that they managed to sell him to another Premier League side was hilarious. He was a great player though just not suited to playing over here.

Bit of a difference in price though. Veron was a record transfer and did diddly squat. Would rank his signing alongside Shevchenko as biggest flop in Premier League history though some may say Brolin is for giggles.

I don't think it's true to say he did diddly squat. He had a number of good Premiership performances, especially towards the start, and contributed a lot in the Champions League. I'm not disputing that he was ultimately a disappointment, but to me he's not even close to being the biggest Premiership flop of all time. Probably not even in the discussion.

Surely has to be Torres. He held back Chelsea the way Rooney held us back post-Fergie, but without any of the preceding good times. The years when the Chelsea managers were under political pressure to pick him were the only time I can remember when I felt like we had an edge in games against them. Genuinely celebrated pre-game when he started over Drogba in a CL quarter-final.

Yeah, Torres would be my pick for biggest flop too. Would also have Soldado, Carroll, Shevchenko, Falcao, and Rebrov, comfortably ahead of Veron. Bebe, Djemba-Djemba and Kleberson as well. Then there's also the likes of players like Bosko Balaban, Seth Johnson, and Steve Marlet who people tend to forget about, but were expensive but absolutely terrible. Didn't West Ham also buy some Ugandan striker from Serie B club for like £10m a while back? Pretty sure he was a disaster as well.

Haha, I was going to mention Jo, but then I couldn't remember if he was just underwhelming or totally crap.

Deliberately omitted Roque Santa Cruz as well, because I always quite liked him.
