Reminder that from little things big things grow.

But really, I wouldn't be mad if they gave Wade the gloves, because he has guts and gumption unlike Nevill, and Faulkner/Henriques a series at the very least this summer, try some options ahead of the Ashes ffs.

Or at least send Marsh to drink the blood of Dennis Lillee like Johnson.
Yes get Faulkner in there, and Wade's extra runs to dropped catches ratio may still be wind up positive.

Not sure if you are serious or joking in this post (coming from the guy who talks up Jimmy Peirson so much) but I like all of it.

Holland is in the team as he is probably seen as a contender for India series in the future
Fawad misses out as he is no longer regarded as a potential national player.

Christian is in as a straight replacement for Stoney Stonios who injured himself in the warm up yesterday morning. Would have played Maxwell myself

Maxwell is out because in the shield games he plays as a batsman/fielder/bowler.
White made a lot of runs in the one dayers, Finch is captain of the Aus T20 team and Handscomb is being groomed as a future test player.

Therefore Maxwell misses out.

From a shield point of view Fawad was the best spinner and Maxwell was 2nd or 3rd best batsman last year.

Its disappointing but it is what the national selectors would want I s'pose

How is it a farce when it was a choice between him and a spinner who played for Australia a few months ago? If he had been selected ahead of Holland then people would say that was a farce.
Did you see Holland bowl?

The chances of him being selected again are extremely remote

Fawad is a better bowler with a better record

Not only is Finch a **** red ball batsman and extremely lucky to be in the squad let alone selected to play but if you're going to take T20 form into account then guess who won the series for Oz in SL?

****ing Maxwell

What a joke!

Serious actually, Faulkner's batting might be pure agribusiness as the kiwibloc but I like his crash and bash jib.

And seriously eat me pal, Jimmy's lofted cuts will be the saving of the Australian lower order in years to come.

I agree with you 100%, just saying what people would think. I've faced them both and on a good day Fawad is a level above.

I've also seen Fawad on a bad day and that's someone you don't want bowling for you.

How packed is the GABBA right now? The chance to see the Matador player of the tournament in action might be hard to pass up.

Australia's Test bowling trio of Starc/Haze/Lyon have 1 for 158 between them. South Africa's batsmen must be shaking in their boots.

Lol @ Jake Doran still getting a game for Tas when probably every Grade wicketkeeper/batsmen in Tas is better than him.

They are saving their quota of wickets for important stuff #rememberingDuesEX

The one section they crammed everyone into was pretty full.

I love arriving at the ground after a long day to immediately have my eyes treated to our national captain bowling a head-high full toss at the Matador MVP that was somehow edged to third man boundary, disgusting. Also best keeper in the country Nevill missed a doozy of a legside stumping on Burns.

Khawaja is just as lazy in his fielding drills as he is in every other aspect of the game, missed half of the balls thrown at him.

Most importantly, Ed Cowan though, absolute jerk if you ask me. At first I thought when the players were coming off during the dinner break and Ed was the only one making a move towards the kids in the stand that he was a top bloke, but then he made a beeline to the two kids in Sixers shirts, ignored the rest and immediately darted off. Was also throwing around his baggy blue in utter disinterest as Copeland was coming in to bowl.

Always happy to see Ferguson and Cooper in the runs.

Ferguson has to be close to the Aussie side by now.
