Was he making some nonsense psychological point about consistency or was he just being breathtakingly stupid?
Yup, failing to grasp that it's a 50/50 chance going into each new toss, regardless what's occurred previously.

He had an argument, with himself, about which is the better type of pants out of leather or corduroy. I think it might have actually killed Stephen Fleming.

I remember when there was that debacle with a guy predicting, or obtaining, the exact draw for the Football Euro cup thing, and then a lot of people saying predicting the specific outcome of a series of coin-tosses was always 50-50. In that, if you had to predict how 5 coin tosses were going to turn out, in exact order, that it was always 50-50. People couldn't seem to grasp that predicting before all of it, whether it'd be heads-tails-tails-heads-tails or whatever, was not 50-50. The opposite of what's happening here, but it's amazing how people can get something so basic so wrong.

I had a friend who believed that before a rugby match the chance of either team winning was always 50%. The worst part was the same logic didn't apply to cricket because "you can get way more runs than points".

Lol Poor KW.. Suppose you have to resort to humour.

"I had mixed it up [between heads and tails], after losing five or six in a row. India seem to really know what they've doing when they're flicking it," Williamson says,
