**Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

Yeah that was a very 2013 critique of Bairstow.

Watching the highlights and the new ball really spun. Hope our spinners get on early and can be as accurate. Hasan bowled with superb control, looks a guy who can bowl on a non-spinning deck pretty well with that accuracy.

Moeen's averaging 61 with the bat and 66 with the ball in eleven Tests this year. I think the prevailing opinion coming out of the English summer was that he deserved another go batting in a proper middle order spot but probably didn't deserve to be persevered with as a frontline bowler anymore, and that's fair enough I think. I expected his bowling to develop more with more opportunity as a frontliner but if anything it's gone backwards since his Test debut.
Yes, I think that's spot on. I suspect that Cook doesn't trust either of Moeen or Rashid in the first innings, whereas Batty can probably be relied on to keep it tight and maybe take a couple of wickets.
And as you say, Moeen is there primarily as a batsman at present, you'd think.

If I had any faith in our spinners I'd say we're at about a par score now and if we can eek out another 50 or so we'll be well in front.

England are totally going to pile on another 70-100 runs here. Deshis will struggle to 300 and falter in the 4th innings chase.

^ Quality predictions.

Here's whats gonnna happen:

England 350 a/o - Miraz overbowled to point of injury, Batty slogs Kamrul into the stands for a couple of sixes, Mushy drops a catch, and Shakib ends up having to clean up the last couple of wickets himself
BD 259 a/o - Mominul grinds out a 50, Shakib bats fluently for his 50, a spunky innings from Miraz on debut, Sabbir slogs a quick 20, and the rest of the lineup chips in but no one goes big. Batty out-smarts Tamim and Mushy on the way to a five-fer, Adil gets atleast one wicket from a hoik to deep midwicket. Probably a stumping from someone going down the track to Moeen in there too, Basically a whole bunch of unnecessarily aggressive strokes.
England 300/5 dec - Cook lays the anchor as Duckett, Root, Stokes and Bairstow all lay waste to the BD bowlers. Moeen gets pinned LBW and tries to DRS it but is unsuccessful this time. BD drop atleast 3 catches.
BD 150 a/o - The team barely puts up a fight as Broad rips out the top order and Adil wraps up the tail, Batty picking up Shakib and Mushy in between. Miraz ends up stranded on 27*,
