Yeah, but I don't get why they'd not go for Mosaddek instead if they were doing that. They must either rate Mahedi's bowling a lot higher than Mosaddek's.. or they think that picking 20 year old batsmen with multiple First Class hundreds at a great average after they've started their ODI careers well is the easy way out, and that they'll only be respected as true visionaries if they identify 18 year old opening batsmen as potential lower middle order heroes before they've knocked up any First Class or ODI runs to speak of at all.Presumably they're grooming Mehedi for a proper batting position.
The first is Mehedi Hasan Miraz, perhaps the best off-spinner in the country, picked specifically to neutralise England's army of left-handed batsmen.

Knowing Bangladesh, probably the latter.
Lol."This is the first time since October 2015 a non-Asian captain has won a toss in a test match in Asia."
Beefy's not there, it's Knight (the Essex one) and Key.Actually a pretty good over that.
Who's on comms? Sounds like Nasser and Botham but am not super sure.
man, what are you even for if you can't get this **** rightActually, seems I've confused Mehedi Hasan with Mahedi Hasan, who plays for the same domestic team, debuted around the same time and usually plays in all the same matches. The bloke playing does seem to be an actual bowling allrounder rather than an opening bat who bowls sometimes.
I retract all my confused rants.
This mistake was seriously so good. What are the chances?Actually, seems I've confused Mehedi Hasan with Mahedi Hasan, who plays for the same domestic team, debuted around the same time and usually plays in all the same matches.
