Who'd they think will open for England? I'd go Moeen. Billings has opened a little but Ali is much more suited to top order and vice versa with Billings much more suited to middle order.

Its a bit square pegs in round holes opening with Billings and having Mo down the order, Billings did open in 1 or 2 IPL games and batted at 3 once I think but it didn't really work, although he did hit Ashwin for 2 glorious 6's.

I guess my thing the other day about the selectors seeing Billings as a lower-middle order player is bollocks then.
Seems to me there were a couple of other options that could have let him slip in at 5 or 6, where I'd prefer him. Still, hopefully he can nudge his way above Vince in their standings.
